Security Technician

Job Description:

Are you a skilled and dependable technician with an eye for detail? Vital Security Solutions is looking for a Contracted Security Camera Installer to join our expert team. As a Security Camera Installer, you’ll play a vital role in setting up and maintaining security camera systems for our clients. This contract role provides flexibility and the chance to work on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain security camera systems at various client locations.
Conduct site assessments to determine optimal camera placement and coverage.
Run and terminate cables, mount cameras, and set up network connections.
Test and troubleshoot camera systems to ensure proper functionality.
Provide training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of security systems.
Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and system configurations.
Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver high-quality service.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during installations.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in security camera installation or related field.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
Skills:
- Proficient in the installation and configuration of various security camera systems.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Familiarity with network setup and configurations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
Tools and Equipment: Must have own tools and reliable transportation.
Licenses: Valid driver’s license.
